Petroleum Engineering

 The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is a worldwide organisation. It has
more than 143,000 members in 147 countries, with 337 student chapters and
199 sections around the world. SPE is dedicated to the advancement of technical
and professional knowledge and competence in the oil and gas industry.
SPE South Australia section is offering scholarships to current tertiary students
studying in Australia. In 2014, a total of $15,000 AUD was awarded to successful
applicants.

Applications close on the 29th of May 2015.

Financial hardship, academic results, enthusiasm toward the industry, remote
relocation, and extra-curricular activities are all equally valid considerations for
the assessment and award of the scholarships.

To be eligible for the scholarships you must be both:
1) A current student from university or other tertiary institute who is either:
o Enrolled in a Petroleum Engineering degree; or
o Planning a career in the field of Petroleum Engineering (please
demonstrate in your cover letter).
2) A current SPE member. Free SPE membership is available to students,
