SPE SA 2014 Scholarship Awards Announced

The South Australian SPE Scholarships are awarded annually to exceptional students in the field of petroleum engineering. Applications are sought from current tertiary students enrolled at University, including masters and post-graduate students.
The recipients of this award for 2014 include; Suseendaran Babu, Benjamin Crichton, Armando Maieli, Abdul Mohd, Sophie Nicholls, Wan Wan Mohd Shuhaimi, Huy Ton, Yang Yu and Xinsong Zhang.

Scholarship applicants are assessed by the South Australian SPE committee based on academic achievement, enthusiasm at University and towards industry, extra-curricular activities and financial hardships such as remote relocation. This year we received a record high number of applications for the scholarships, with all submissions being of high standard. It is most pleasing to have students of this calibre as members of the SPE.

A total of $15,000 AUD was awarded to the scholarship winners of 2014. This financial reward aims to both assist and motivate students during their studies as they make their way into the petroleum industry.
