2020 South Australian SPE Scholarship Awards Presented

The South Australian SPE scholarships are awarded annually to outstanding students in the field of petroleum engineering. Applications are sought from students enrolled at University, including masters and post-graduate students.

The recipients of this award for 2020 include: Issac Tiney, Emily Taylor, Katarina Kosten, Gianni Magliani, Tuan Tran, Andre Lymn and Sam Kobelt.

Scholarship applicants are assessed by the South Australian SPE committee based not only on academic achievement, but also enthusiasm towards the industry, extra-curricular activities and financial hardships such as remote relocation. The awards are aimed at motivating students to be more involved in the industry during their studies. $5,000 AUD in prizes were awarded to the scholarship winners of 2020. Winners were also invited to attend a SPE technical luncheon, with their prizes presented there!
